Required Documents for Admission to Istanbul Aydın University
1. Application Documents for Bachelor’s and Associate Degree Programs
To apply for a Bachelor’s or Associate degree program at Istanbul Aydın University, applicants must submit the following documents:
- Recent Passport-Sized Photo – A clear and recently taken passport-sized photograph.
- Passport – A valid passport, including the identification page.
- High School Diploma – A copy of your high school diploma.
- High School Transcript – Official transcript showing grades obtained in high school.
- Language Proficiency Certificate (if available) – Proof of English or Turkish language proficiency through recognized tests.
Language Proficiency Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following language proficiency scores:
For English Language Programs:
- TOEFL (Computer-Based Test – CBT): Score between 183-210
- TOEFL (Internet-Based Test – IBT): Minimum score of 72
- TOEFL (Paper-Based Test – PBT): Score between 569-634
- Pearson PTE (Academic): Minimum score of 55
- Cambridge Proficiency Exam (CPE): Passing grade
- First Certificate in English (FCE): Minimum level B2
- Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): Minimum level C
- YÖKDİL/YDS/KPDS (Turkish Language Proficiency Exams): Minimum score of 60
- Istanbul Aydın University Proficiency Exam: Minimum score of 60
2. Registration Documents for Bachelor’s and Associate Degree Programs
After receiving an acceptance letter, students must complete their registration by providing:
- Original High School Diploma – Must be certified by the Ministry of Education in the applicant’s home country or attested by the country’s Embassy/Consulate in Turkey.
- Original High School Transcript – Must be certified by the Ministry of Education or attested by the Embassy/Consulate.
- Equivalency Certificate – This document certifies that your diploma is equivalent to the Turkish education system and must be obtained from the Istanbul Provincial Directorate for National Education or a Turkish Embassy/Consulate in your home country.
- Copy of Passport – A photocopy of relevant pages from your passport.
- Education Visa – If required, students must obtain an education visa from the Turkish Embassy/Consulate.
- Six (6) Passport-Sized Photos – Recently taken photographs, following the university’s guidelines.
- Tuition Fee Payment Receipt – Proof of full tuition fee payment before registration.
- Language Proficiency Certificate:
- For English-taught programs: TOEFL IBT score of at least 72. If this is unavailable, students may take the Beykoz University English Proficiency Exam or enroll in a one-year English Preparatory Program.
- For Turkish-taught programs: A TÖMER B1 Level Certificate is required. If unavailable, students must take a Turkish Proficiency Exam at IAUTÖMER.
Note: If a student needs to take a preparatory language course, the fee for the one-year preparatory school will be the same as the annual tuition fee of their academic program.
3. Application Documents for Master’s Degree Programs
Students applying for a Master’s program at Istanbul Aydın University must submit:
- Recent Passport-Sized Photo – A clear, recently taken passport-sized photograph.
- Passport – A valid passport, including the identification page.
- Bachelor’s Degree Diploma – An official copy of the undergraduate diploma.
- Bachelor’s Degree Transcript – An official transcript showing all academic records.
- Language Proficiency Certificate (if available) – Proof of English or Turkish language proficiency through recognized tests.

4. Registration Documents for Master’s Programs
After being accepted into the program, students must submit the following documents for registration:
- Original Undergraduate Diploma – Must be certified by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) in Turkey or attested by the Consulate of the applicant’s country.
- Original Undergraduate Transcript – Must be certified by YÖK or attested by the Consulate.
- Recognition of Bachelor’s Diploma – A confirmation document issued by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
- Copy of Passport – A photocopy of relevant pages from the passport.
- Education Visa – Must be obtained from the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in the applicant’s home country.
- Six (6) Passport-Sized Photos – Recently taken photographs.
- Tuition Fee Payment Receipt – Proof of full tuition payment before registration.
- Language Proficiency Certificate:
- For English-taught programs: TOEFL IBT minimum score of 72. If this is unavailable, students may take the Istanbul Aydın University English Proficiency Exam or enroll in a one-year English Preparatory Program.
- For Turkish-taught programs: A TÖMER B2 Level Certificate is required. If unavailable, students must take a Turkish Proficiency Exam at IAUTÖMER.
