International Student Application Guidelines – Biruni University

Eligibility for International Student Applications
| Category | Eligibility |
|---|---|
| Graduation Requirement | Candidates must have graduated or be expecting graduation from high school. |
| Eligible Applicants | 1. International students. |
| 2. Individuals born with Turkish citizenship, who have renounced it and whose children under 18 are listed in the renunciation document, provided they have rights under Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901, Article 7. | |
| 3. Individuals who hold citizenship of another country by birth and later acquired Turkish citizenship. | |
| 4. Turkish citizens who completed high school education abroad (except those educated in The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus – TRNC). | |
| 5. Citizens of TRNC who: Reside in TRNC and completed secondary education in the GCE AL system.Completed secondary education abroad in the GCE AL system between 2005–2010. |
Ineligible for International Student Applications
| Category | Ineligibility Criteria |
|---|---|
| Turkish Citizenship | Turkish citizens who completed high school in Türkiye or TRNC (except those with GCE AL system education in TRNC or abroad between 2005–2010). |
| Dual Citizenship | Dual citizens holding Turkish citizenship by birth, except those who completed high school in another country (excluding TRNC) or in Turkish institutions abroad (excluding TRNC). |
| TRNC Citizenship | TRNC citizens who did not complete secondary education in the GCE AL system in TRNC or abroad between 2005–2010. |
| Embassy and Foreign Institutions | Turkish citizens who completed secondary education at institutions within embassies or other foreign institutions in Türkiye. |
Academic Requirements for Application
Applicants must meet the criteria set by YÖK (Council of Higher Education) and achieve minimum required scores in accepted exams.
