Application Process

Applying as an International Undergraduate Student to Sabancı University through Atabs Consultancy

Atabs Consultancy is here to guide international students aspiring to pursue undergraduate studies at Sabancı University in Turkey. To successfully apply, students must meet the requirements outlined under Turkish Higher Education legislation and submit an online application based on the conditions set by Sabancı University for the relevant academic year.

Students in their final year of high school or those who have graduated from a high school equivalent to Turkish high schools are eligible to apply for undergraduate programs.

Step 1: Application Process

A. Before Starting the Online Application

Applicants must prepare scanned copies of the required documents to upload during the application process. Submissions will only be accepted when all required fields are completed, and all necessary documents have been uploaded.

Once the online application form is submitted, applicants will be directed to the payment page for the application fee. A non-refundable application fee of $30 USD is required for the application to be valid and reviewed. Payment can be made via Visa or Mastercard.

B. Application Dates

Applications are open during the following period:

  • Start Date: January 15, 2025
  • End Date: August 29, 2025 (the application portal closes at 16:00 Turkish time)

C. Eligibility to Apply

Eligible applicants include:

  1. International Students:
    • Those in their final year of high school or graduates from a high school equivalent to Turkish high schools.
    • Students who meet the conditions under Turkish Higher Education Council legislation.
  2. Dual Citizens and Blue Card Holders:
    • Individuals who have renounced Turkish citizenship and obtained a Blue Card, or
    • Applicants holding dual citizenship (one of which is Turkish), provided they meet the outlined criteria.

Applicants falling under specific conditions or restrictions outlined by Turkish legislation may need additional documentation. Contact Atabs Consultancy for clarity on your eligibility.

Step 2: Exams and Required Documents

A. Accepted Exams/Diplomas

Applicants must provide one of the exams or diplomas accepted by Sabancı University with a valid score. The full list of accepted qualifications and required scores is available on the university’s website or through Atabs Consultancy.

B. Required Documents

Ensure you have the following documents ready for submission:

  1. Online Application Form and Fee Payment Confirmation
  2. High School Diploma (with notarized translation if not in English or Turkish)
  3. Official Transcript of all high school courses and grades, signed and stamped by the school authority
  4. Valid Exam or Diploma Results
  5. Language Proficiency Exam Score (if applicable)
  6. Additional Documents for Certain Applicants:
    • Residence permits for foreign nationals
    • Citizenship-related documents for Turkish nationals or dual citizens
    • Entry and exit records for students who studied abroad

Uploaded documents must be clear and verifiable. Submissions lacking official signatures, stamps, or online verifications will not be accepted.

Step 3: Application Fee Payment

A non-refundable application fee of $30 USD is required to complete the process. Payments are made online using Visa or Mastercard. Note that cash or paper checks are not accepted, and applications without payment will not be reviewed.

Step 4: Program Quotas

Applicants can select up to three programs within the specified quotas. Applying to programs across different faculties increases the chances of admission.

Quota Details:

  • Engineering and Natural Sciences: 160 seats
  • Arts and Social Sciences: 120 seats
  • Management Programs: 120 seats

Quotas are subject to change based on decisions from the Turkish Higher Education Council.

Step 5: Additional Notes

  • Ensure all documents meet the criteria before submitting your application.
  • Incomplete applications or those missing the required fee will not be processed.
