Admission Requirements


The application process for Istanbul Okan University is conducted through an online application system. Students can apply for up to three academic programs in order of preference. Once placed in a program, students will be notified through the online application system using their application code. Accepted students will receive a full acceptance letter issued by the International Office, which is required to apply for a student visa at the nearest Turkish Consulate in their home country.

Important Notes:

  1. Postgraduate Health Science Applicants must provide an Equivalency Certificate from the Higher Education Council (HEC) of Türkiye. For more details, visit: http://www.yok.gov.tr/web/denklikbirimi.
  2. The Equivalency Paper (Denklik Belge) can be obtained from the Turkish Education Attaché at your country’s Turkish Embassy or Consulate. If unavailable, it can also be obtained from Istanbul, Türkiye.
