Admission for Ozyeğin Uni

Required Documents

  1. Passport: Provide a copy of the personal information page.
  2. Diploma: Submit an official document confirming successful completion of high school. If not in English or Turkish, a certified translation must accompany the original.
  3. Transcripts: Provide official high school transcripts, including a grading scale. If test results or provisional results are unavailable at the time of submission, submit them as soon as possible.
  4. English Language Proficiency: If available, upload results from an English language proficiency test. Visit our website for details on the exemption process.
  5. Statement of Motivation: Write an essay explaining your reasons for applying to Özyeğin University and your academic and career goals. The essay should not exceed two pages and must be uploaded as a Word or PDF file. A strong statement of motivation may improve your chances of receiving a scholarship.

Note: Upload both the original documents and their certified translations (if applicable).


After Application Submission

  1. Once you click the Review and Submit button, your application will be sent to the International Office for evaluation.
  2. If any documents are missing, you will be notified via email. Your application will not proceed until the missing documents are provided.
  3. Completed applications are reviewed by the faculty admissions committee, which will determine your acceptance, scholarship eligibility, and scholarship percentage. The decision will be sent to you via email, along with an Offer Letter.
  4. Regularly check your email for updates regarding your application.

If You’re Accepted

  • You will receive a student ID number (e.g., S0xxxxx) and instructions to transfer a $1,000 USD pre-payment to the specified account.
  • The pre-payment will be deducted from your Fall semester tuition fees. Upload the payment receipt to the application portal.
  • After confirming the pre-payment, you will receive an acceptance letter and visa letter via email. Hard copies can be requested if needed for the visa process.
  • Arrange your student visa application promptly by contacting the relevant consulate.
  • Important: The pre-payment is non-refundable, except in cases of visa rejection by the Turkish Embassy or Consulate.

Scholarships

  • All applicants are automatically considered for scholarships during the admission process; no separate application is required.
  • Scholarship awards are based on the candidate’s overall academic profile. If awarded a scholarship, details will be provided in the acceptance email.

English Proficiency

  • Students who complete the pre-payment must take a Placement and Trace Exam in August or September.
  • Students who pass the exam are exempt from the English Preparatory Program. Those who do not pass will be placed in the program for one or two semesters, depending on their performance.
  • The tuition fee for the English Preparatory Program is the same as the accepted program.

Registration

  • Students who complete the pre-payment will receive an invitation to register.
  • Registration typically occurs between August and September each year.
  • Students in applied programs must meet the minimum criteria for registration.
